8 AM Sat., January 28 to 4 PM Sun., January 29 Hope Lutheran Church, Toledo, OH
Why attend CRHP? “CHRP gave me the opportunity to slow down for a bit to hear God's word and to be surrounded by women who were supporting me and my journey to develop a deeper relationship with the Lord. I enjoyed the time to pray, along with sharing time with other women who truly cared about me. I was admittedly scared to put my normal busy schedule on hold to come to CHRP but it was one of the most important weekends in my life, and I'm so grateful to have had the CHRP experience to tune back in to my spiritual life!”- Jenny Mitchell
“When I considered being a part of the CRHP retreat in 2011, I wondered, ‘Am I too old?’ (87) But I decided to try it, and soon discovered that age was irrelevant. The experience was spiritual, loving, sisterly, and totally uplifting. Every woman of Hope should consider this faith renewal. I am so glad that I did!”- Lois Smith
“My CRHP weekend was a highlight in my spiritual journey. I met God there and have never let Him go. I remember the inner peace I felt during chapel and the power of the Holy Spirit that filled the room during testimonials. It was an exciting and a humbling experience that will impact me for years to come.”- Judy Patberg
“If I had to choose one event that has impacted my faith the most, yet in the shortest duration of time—I would choose CRHP. The weekend is inspiring, thought-provoking, humbling, and eye and heart opening. The months following, being part of a CRHP team, were life-changing for me. My faith and my love for Jesus grew; my desire to live the ‘God-life’ grew; many parts of my heart were healed; and I developed deep, meaningful relationships with other Christian women.“ - Stephanie Eby
"My CRHP experience at Hope enriched my life, strengthened my faith, opened doors to life changing relationships and events. God has blessed my life in meaningful ways and CRHP helped me to recognize His presence working in my life on a daily basis. Please accept this wonderful invitation." - Nita Clere
What is CRHP?“CRHP” (pronounced “chirp”) stands for Christ Renews His Parish, a spiritual renewal process designed to bring members of a congregation together in Christ. It is an opportunity to rediscover and intensify your relationship with Jesus Christ in the environment of our own church.
What happens on the renewal weekend?Come prepared to have fun and renew your heart. The process is centered around reflections by team members related to themes such as our Father’s Loving Care, Scripture, and Christian Community. Small group discussions allow participants to reflect on their own faith experiences.
Will I have to “bare my soul”? No. You are free to share as much or as little as you are comfortable. You and your needs will always be respected.
By attending the weekend, am I committing to being a part of the next CRHP team? No. After the renewal weekend, some women feel called to join the process of formation and be a part of presenting the next weekend. However, many do not. They leave with a wonderful, faith-filled experience that they will remember for a lifetime.
What are the accommodations? The renewal weekend is held at Hope Lutheran Church. Attire is casual and comfortable and hot meals are served with a smile! There are regular breaks with coffee, cold drinks, and snacks. Special dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice. Comfortable air mattresses are provided for sleeping.
What is the cost? Absolutely free!
We feel blessed to have received the gift of a CRHP renewal weekend, and even more blessed to be able to offer this gift to you! No matter where you are in your faith journey, we really hope you can join us!
