Youth Ministries

Children of all ages can find their fit in one of Hope's many youth-focused ministries.

"Disciples in Training" Sunday School ~
9:30 a.m. - The Gathering Room, Basement
"Disciples in Training" is a Sunday School program where children, ages 4-years old through seventh grade, meet for an hour
beginning at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday in the basement.

If you have any questions or concerns, call the church office 419-536-8383 or contact Diane Barnes, Minister of Student Ministries

High School Sunday School
9:30 a.m. - The Upper Room
During the Sunday School hour, eighth grade through high school seniors meet in The Upper Room for donuts and discussion.

Confirmation Ministry

Students in 7th and 8th grade are invited to participate in a two-year process of faith formation including Bible study, mission trips, service projects and retreats.  At the end of this process, students have the opportunity to profess their faith and affirm their baptism before the whole congregation, which has supported them in their faith journey along the way.

Upcoming for Junior High: Confirmation classes begin again January 11, and continue on Wednesday nights at 6:30 through January and February.  In March we will visit St. Gregory Orthodox Cathedral, joining the congregation for worship and a meal.

Senior High Youth Group

Students in 9th  - 12th grade are invited to a variety of activities and opportunities, including game nights, retreats, a book group and service projects.

Upcoming for Senior High: Winter Retreat at Camp Storer in Michigan, January 20 – 22.  We will be joining the youth of Olivet for a weekend of winter fun, good food, new friends and Bible study.

College Ministry

Hope partners with TribeOne, the Lutheran Campus Ministry at the University of Toledo, and also Toledo Campus Ministry, an ecumenical ministry on the campus of the University.  We also remember students from Hope, sending birthday cards and care packages and remembering them regularly in our prayers.  A small group for moms of college students helps strengthen our connections with those who are away at school.
