Pastor Kevin Maxey
Kevin Maxey joined the staff at Hope in June of 2011 as Hope’s senior pastor. He was born in Miami, Florida, and each time God has called him to a particular congregational ministry, it has been near a significant body of water. This is ironic because, although he enjoys the water, he has no interest in being owned by a boat. Kevin is married to Janice and they have three adult children. For fun and recreation, he enjoys working with his hands - either building things or cooking. His passion converged most recently with a wood-fired pizza oven which allowed him to build something and, once it was built, cook with it.
Pastor Kristin Hunsinger
Kristin Hunsinger joined the team at Hope in March 2016 as associate pastor for youth and family ministries. She was born in South Carolina and has spent about equal amounts of her life in the Southeast and the Midwest. Growing up in the Lutheran church she loves the traditions of the church, but is always looking for ways to reshape traditions so they reach and make sense for all generations to continue growing in faith. Kristin enjoys photography, knitting & crocheting, is an avid sports fan, and loves to travel. She also loves animals and serves as staff for her cat Cinnamon.
Pam Ferrara
Pam joined the team at Hope in October 2022. She was born and raised in Genoa, Ohio. Beyond leading our Children and Family Ministries, Pam also leads our Children's Choir and Chimes Choir. She received her Music Education Degree from UT and received her Master of Arts in Ministry with a Concentration in Leadership from Moody Bible Institute in December 2022. Pam has served at a local UCC church working with youth from ages birth through early college age. Pam is a single mom of two girls. Attending church and its activities is a huge part of their lives. Pam enjoys singing, playing and listening to music. Pam also enjoys spending time with her family and friends when not chasing her girls around with all of their activities.
Cindy Franklin
Cindy grew up in Michigan and graduated from MSU in 1999. She moved to Toledo to marry her husband, Scott. She has worked in finance and at other local churches for years. She loves staying busy. They have two beautiful daughters, Sasha and Danica. Cindy loves travel, reading, movies, and spending time at the lake.
Mike Hoskins
Mike is part of our custodial team. He is a morning person so you'll most often see him if you visit Hope before noon. Mike ensures the building can be an example of Hope's core value of hospitality.
Gail Mowry
Gail joined the team at Hope in August of 2015. She grew up in Florida and has been living in the Midwest for many years. She enjoys selecting hymns and songs for worship, leading the flute choir, assisting music groups, and coordinating special music. You'll also see her leading worship with the Praise Team on Sunday mornings. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets and going to local sporting events. When she’s not at church, you can find her as the Fine Arts Director for Hillsdale Academy as well as serving as music director for many Toledo Repertoire Theater productions.
Ron Prebe
Ron is a recent retiree from St Patrick of Heatherdowns where he was the Director of Liturgy and Music. His involvement in music ministry spans more than 50 years and includes church work to supper clubs and parties - and music from classical to contemporary and jazz. Ron leads our Chancel Choir as well at Hope. Ron is a graduate of the University of Toledo and an avid fan of the Rockets! He has 2 children and 7 grandchildren.
