As the body of Christ, we are called to share the love of Christ through service in the world. This makes serving others a core part of our mission here at Hope. Whether we serve through hospitality in the building or with generosity to our mission partners here in Toledo and other organizations and agencies around the world. Advent Collections

It is a tradition at Hope to support our mission partners in Advent by collecting in kind gifts each Sunday for four different organizations. Thanks for the generosity of our members and families who help us reach our goals every year. While our collections change each year based on need, in the past few years we have supported, Salem Lutheran Church, Old Orchard Elementary, Martin Luther King Jr Kitchen for the Poor, and Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Habitat for Humanity: Rock the Block

Hope regularly joins Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity in their neighborhood revitalization efforts for Rock the Block including community clean-ups and minor exterior repairs. This is also a good opportunity for multiple generations to serve together.

Martin Luther King Jr, Kitchen for the Poor

Martin Luther King Jr. Kitchen for the Poor has been feeding the hungry in the Toledo area for over 50 years. Hope regularly donates both financial and in-kind resources to support their ministry, including through our Advent Collections and Vacation Bible School service projects.

Mission & Service Trips

Over the years, Hope members and friends have participated in numerous mission trips, both close to home and abroad. In recent years, mission trips have focused on clean-up and rebuilding after natural disasters across the south. Trips are usually a week-long and depending on the site, open to adults and youth over 16. We hope to be able to plan our next mission trip soon.
